I have always been a word geek. In high school, my favourite class was French, with the wonderful Ms. Fix. She taught me an appreciation for language learning that I'll never forget. ​At SAIT, I took civil engineering technology with a focus on construction management, and my management obsession began.

After working for a few years, I returned to school to complete the Professional Editing Certificate and fell in love with editing. Once I had another taste of the academic world, I couldn't stop there and jumped in to complete two undergraduate degrees (one in Spanish and the other in Linguistics) and a master's in Applied Linguistics.

For me, learning never ends, whether I'm taking courses or learning on the job.
